Frequently Asked Questions

A group of people, some of them raising their hands

1) Do I need to pay for my voucher?

No, it’s free.

2) Will I need to book in advance?

Unless otherwise stated, you don’t need to book in advance. Where stated, please call the number provided with the voucher and reserve your place. With limited places we’d greatly appreciate it if you could notify the course provider if, for any reason, you can’t then make the appointment.

3) What do I need to bring?

Make sure you bring some ID as it might be required by the provider at their discretion. And bring some cash if you fancy a drink or a snack!

4) Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely. But if they want a free taster, they’ll need to register for one via www.tasterlab.com.

5) Can I sell my voucher?

No, your voucher has no cash value and cannot be used by anyone other than your good self. Each voucher has a unique ID and your name on it. You might be asked for personal ID by the course provider.

6) Can I give my voucher to a friend if I can’t make it?

Sorry, the voucher is only valid for you. If someone else is interested though, point them in the direction of www.tasterlab.com for a quick registration of their own lovely voucher.

7) What do I do if there are no vouchers left?

This will happen unfortunately from time to time. But don’t worry, just tell us your details, what you want to taster and we’ll make sure you’re first to hear about it when we get some more.

8) Does my voucher ever expire?

Yes, your voucher will have a fixed expiry date of one month after you receive it. When the voucher expires it won’t be good for anything, except say a memento of what could have been or a handy note jotter, should you need it.

9) What do I do once I’ve done my free taster?

If you enjoyed your taster experience why not keep going? It would be crazy not to, right? We aim to get preferential rates for tasterers so it might be best to come back to TasterLab and buy from us if it's an available option at the time. Also while you’re on the site you can say hi to the others in the Lab and tell us what your taster was like.

10) What can I do if the course I want to try isn’t on the website?

At the moment, the website is quite niche and features some cherry picked, popular things to do in London.  However, this will change and develop on a weekly basis, so please check back soon, or if you want to relive those magical 80’s days of Jim’ll Fix It, leave us your email address, with the taster you’re after (legal please) and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
